Relay For Life of Greater Auglaize County was held at Harmon Field in Wapakoneta, Ohio
on May 16th and 17th. In communities throughout Ohio, people are gathering together to help fight cancer at a unique event
called Relay For Life. Relay is the American Cancer Society’s national signature activity that brings together teams
of families and friends from local companies, schools, clubs and organizations to walk around the track in relay fashion.
All proceeds raised from this event are used for cancer research, education, prevention and patient services. Similarly, the
event provides a wonderful venue for the promotion and delivery of cancer control activities, including advocacy, prevention
and early detection education.

PHS FCCLA Mini Relay for Life

The Parkway FCCLA Mini Relay For Life was held on Friday, January 30 and
Saturday, January 31 at the Parkway School. Some of the events included the Survivors Lap at Halftime of the Varsity
boys basketball game, Relay Kick Off, Luminaria Ceremony, Fight Back Ceremony, Closing Ceremony Relay Participant Breakfast
was held along with a Concession Stand, Activities, Games, Entertainment, Cancer Educational Material, and lots of fun things...

The 2nd Annual Winter Blahs Bash was held on Saturday, February 7th, 2009 to
benefit the JC Walkers Relay for Life Team's fundraising effort for the Relay For Life. The event was held at the
Celina K of C Hall in Celina, Ohio. The evening's entertainment featured the Award Winning Borrowed Time Band with Special
Guest, Heidi Ertel. The evening was truly a success, the crowd was huge, with everyone enjoying a great night out, great
entertainment, and the ability to help support such a worthy cause! Click here for photos

Recent Fundraising Events
Celina Middle School Mini Relay 5K RunWalk
|

The Celina Middle School Mini Relay 5K RunWalk was held on May 17th at Lakeshore Park in
Celina, Ohio. Over 200 runners and walkers participated in this event, with proceeds benefiting Relay For Life.
Since
1995, Ohio has been hosting Relay For Life events. Some 218 communities are participating across the state this year. Relay
For Life events in Ohio raised more than $16.7 million in 2008. The American Cancer Society has set a goal of raising $17.2
million in Ohio in 2009. While events vary from location to location, Relay For Life events share many of the same elements
that make it such an enjoyable and successful experience.

The Iota Mu Chapter of Phi Beta Psi Sorority, Coldwater, held its
Annual Fundraiser to help support cancer research and Relay For Life of Mercer County. Designer Purse Bingo was held
on Sunday March 29th, 2009 at the American Legion in Coldwater. Along with lots of purses to be won, desserts
& refreshments were served. There was such a tremendous turnout for this occasion! Our congratulations to the Sorority
for hosting such a great event and thanks go out to everyone who participated in support of such a worthy cause.

Relay For Life Benefit Dinner - Wapak

Sponsored by Cruisin' For A Cure Relay Team, this event was held at the Wapakoneta Moose Lodge #2654
in Wapakoneta, Ohio on March 21, 2009. The benefit included a pork chop dinner, live music, and raffles. Music was provided
by Southern Just-Us and was sponsored by the Cruisin' For A Cure Relay Team.

The 5th
Annual Relay For Life 5K Run was held at Lake Shore Park on Saturday, June 13th. There were over 100 runners and walkers participating
in this event. Sponsored by Reynolds and Reynolds, the run was part of the Mercer County Relay For Life...Celebrating 25 Years
of Fighting Back...Celebrate Hope!
